Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, issued Preventive Detention order against Shaik Khaja alias Khaja, 25, a rowdy-sheeter of Bhavaninagar Police Station on May 25.
Shaik Khaja residing at Road No.11, Talabkatta, Bhavaninagar had committed offences of attempt to murder, extortion and criminal intimidation in the limits of Hyderabad Police Commissionerate and has been terrorizing general public and adversely affecting the public order under Sections 384, 323, 506 IPC & Sec (1-A) of Arms Act – 1959, Sec 22(1) (a) to (f) and 22 (2) (a) and (b) of Hyderabad City Police Act. He was remanded to judicial custody. The PD order was executed on the accused on May 26 and was lodged in Central Prison, Chanchalguda, Hyderabad. (NSS)
