Ridiculing the RSS-BJP’s perversion practices to distort the Indian freedom struggle, Saurabh Bajpayee, the Convener of National Movement Front said, “RSS founder Sawarkar has no slightest role in freedom struggle. Infact, the military force being formed by the Sawarkar was only to fight against Indian National Army on the western ghat. This means Sawarkar was busy recruiting Hindus in British forces to fight against Netaji.”
While taking part in a debate on News Channel on Saturday over Sawarkar’s role in the freedom struggle he said, “No doubt that the RSS founder has no role in freedom fighting. what is true is that Sawarkar fought shoulder to shoulder with the Britishers against Indian National Army.”
The BJP, he said, is twisting the history and trying to portray RSS leaders as the true freedom fighters. “What they have actually done is that they have created a powerful propaganda machinery and PM Modi playing as a leading showman. The moment he releases a statement, the media starts projecting him as a hero worshipping figure and manufactures a consent among the masses. I mean, what a litany of lies is being spread,” argued Bajpayee.
“What they actually want is to twist the mindset of the countrymen by erasing the true history of the whole freedom struggle so the people start saying that Gandhi Ji, Nehru, Bose and other leaders are false creations of historians. This may help them later declare that only the RSS leaders played a role in the freedom struggle,” he explained.
At a time when Hindus and Muslims are raising their voices in unison and Gandhi Ji giving a clarion call like ‘Na ek bhai, na ek pai’ against the colonial rule, he said, Sawarkar was busy in forming militarise board to recruiting Hindus in order to reinforce British forces. You can’t find a single RSS leader in prisoners who were caught and hanged by the Britishers during the freedom struggle.
“Communalism itself is colonialism. I mean, what a litany of lies these people are trying to spread by using a massive propaganda machinery only to manipulate the vibrant Indian History. Actually this itself is a big colonial project orchestrated by the BJP and RSS. People who are standing against the vibrant Indian history are the players of colonised mindset as the first one who tries to malign the image of rich Indian history was British colonialism and the second one is communalism, which itself is a colonialism,” felt Saurabh Bajpayee.
