National farmers’ union leader Rakesh Tikait today stated that the schemes of the Telangana government are role models for the entire country. Tikait appreciated that the Rythu Bandhu scheme, 24-hour power supply to farmers, and rythu Bhima are worth emulating.
These schemes of Telangana state are to be implemented at the national level to benefit the farming community across the country, he said.
Tikait, who met with the chief minister at Delhi, told presspersons that the Telangana government has been implementing better schemes for the farmers in the state. He felt that a national-level policy has to be introduced to implement similar schemes across the country.
Then it will be helpful to benefit the farmers, he marinated. He said that he did not talk with KCR about the federal front and was only confined to talk about farmers’ welfare and schemes.

Tikait is noted for mounting pressure against the Centre to scrap the three farm laws after Delhi-level protests for more than one year by the farmers.
Tikait mounted pressure and led protests at Delhi borders which forced the Centre to cancel three controversial farm laws. The Modi Government, later on, apologized to the farmers.
