Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today said the TRS Government was implementing Rythu Bandhu Scheme for the benefit of the farmers by giving them Rs 8000 per acre.
Addresing a meeting at Bikhnur in Kamareddy district after participating in some developmental works worth Rs 2.43 crore, Pocharam said cheques and patta passbooks given to the farmers will boost agriculture. “This is first of its kind scheme in the country launched by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao”, he said, adding that another scheme of Rs 5 lakh insurance for the farmers will be launched in Telangana on August 15.
“Giving focus on welfare, KCR was encouraging community professions to revive rural economy and help the poor get income in their own villages. The entire nation was looking at us and the Central Water Commission and the Centre has appreciated Kaleshwaram and other projects”, he pointed out. (NSS)
