Sabita Indra Reddy highlights remarkable transformation of Telangana govt schools

Sabita Indra Reddy, Telangana’s Education Minister, has highlighted the remarkable transformation of government schools in the state, which aligns with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s vision for quality education.

On the occasion of Dasabdi Utsavam Education Day, 1000 schools equipped with modern facilities and 12 different amenities were launched across the State as part of the Mana Oru Mana Badi-Mana Basti Mana Badi initiative.

As the chief guest for Telangana Education Day, she inaugurated the Jillelguda Zilla Parishad School in Meerpet Municipal Corporation. Students would be given two pairs of uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, copper water bottles, and tablets, she announced.

During the Telangana State decennial formation day celebrations, she expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s investment in the education sector, highlighting funds such as 136 crores for uniforms, 190 crores for textbooks, and 35 crores annually for copper water bottles, which benefit around 25 lakh students in government schools.

Furthermore, 56 crores were set aside for notebooks for 12 lakh students and 34.25 crores for tablets for 20,000 teachers. The first phase of the Mana uru-Mana Badi program, worth 3497.62 crores, has begun in 9123 schools. She recognized the efforts of various public representatives in carrying out the program and shared the district’s financial allocations for textbooks, uniforms, notebooks, water bottles, and tablets.

She emphasized the Chief Minister’s vision of preparing Telangana students for global competition and providing overseas scholarships to students from economically disadvantaged and middle-class families. During the event, students who received a perfect 10 GPA in the tenth standard were recognized and awarded 10,000 each. Outstanding educators were also honored with certificates of appreciation. Education Department Principal Secretary Vakati Karuna, School Education Director Devasena, and State Library Corporation Chairman Ayachitam Sridhar attended the event.
