Hyderabad: AICC secretary SA Sampath Kumar today alleged that there were links to Hyderabad city in the sensational drugs case involving Tollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh. He demanded the authorities concerned to inquire into the Hyderabad links in the sensational case.
He alleged that the state government had shelved the inquiry into the sensational drugs case linking the Tollywood industry. He said that several Telugu film actors had faced charges in the drugs case and were grilled by the officials of the state.
He alleged that the inquiry was suddenly shelved by the powers that be. He said that Rakul Preet Singh was the brand ambassador of Telangana state for the central government’s Beti Bachao and Beti Padao scheme.
He said that the actor had close links with the important people of the state government. He said that an in-depth inquiry into the drugs case might expose the involvement of the big wigs of the state government.
