The Commissioner’s Task Force (South) squad stormed a gambling house in Santoshnagar and apprehended 13 people. They were apprehended by the police with Rs. 1,38,760 in cash, 14 mobile phones, and playing cards.
Based on a tip, a Task Force team led by Inspector S Raghavendra searched a residence in Santoshnagar and discovered 13 people playing a three-card game and gambling. The organiser was taking a commission from players and inviting them to participate in the game.
All of those apprehended were handed over to the Santoshnagar police station for further action.
The Hyderabad police have always been successful raiding such places, previously the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (North) squad raided a residence in Shahinyathgunj and apprehended eight people.
The cops recovered Rs 1.60 lakh, as well as playing cards and cell phones.
Shyam Sunder, Krishna Bung, Jitender Bangad, Kamal Soni, Pankaj Kumar, Dayaram, Jay Prakash, and Ghamsham Das Karwa were apprehended.

They were turned over to Shahinyathgunj police for further investigation.
Recently, Kalapather police raided a gambling den and apprehended six people.
On the basis of a tip, the squad stormed a residence in Bilalnagar and discovered six people gaming. According to the authorities, the organiser, Jaweed, invited the participants and collected a commission on each game.
Malkajgiri police bust a drug ring and seize 16 grams of heroin.
Recently, Malkajgiri police busted a drug ring and arrested four persons. A total of 16 grammes of heroin was confiscated.
When police in Rachakonda received the tip, they caught four people who were attempting to transport heroin from West Bengal. Three of the four people arrested were customers of the fourth, the supplier.
The supplier also named three other West Bengal residents as the source of the medications. These three sources are currently on the run.
The source, Akhtar Uzzaman, would buy heroin in West Bengal and sell it in Hyderabad for Rs 5000 or Rs 6000 per gramme.
