SC Directs Status Report on Vacancies From Centre, State Government(s) in Four Weeks

The Supreme Court on Wednesday has directed the Central and state governments to file the state reports of the vacancies available. They are to file them in the Central Information Commission (CIC) and the State Information Commissions (SICs).

SC Bench Gives Government(s) 4 Weeks To File The Report

As per the latest reports, a bench of Justices S. Abdul Nazeer and Krishna Murari have given four weeks to the Centre and state governments to file the latest status report in the matter.

The order came after activist Anjali Bhardwaj and others filed a PIL seeking directions to the government to implement the Supreme Court’s directions in regards to the arrangement of Information Commissioners within a specified time and furthermore in a straightforward way.
