The plea said there exists no regulation which bars the award of Aadhaar number to people whose names show up in the last NRC list and consequently such a demonstration isn’t endorsed by regulation.

“It is presented that not having the option to get an Aadhaar Number puts almost 20 lakh individuals in danger as they wouldn’t have the option to get to the state authorized plans, appropriations and advantages as the equivalent requires compulsory enrollment under the Aadhaar system”, said the plea.
A bench headed by Justice U.U. Lalit subsequent to hearing contentions regarding this situation, gave notice on the plea.
The plea contended that there exists no sensible arrangement or comprehensible differentia for distributing differential treatment to individuals whose names show up on the NRC. The applicant was likewise addressed by senior backer Biswajit Dev alongside advocate Shwetank Singh.
The plea battled that it is obvious that there exists no bar under the Aadhaar Act to deny the Aadhaar number to people whose names show up in the last advantageous NRC list delivered on August 31, 2019.
The plea said non award of Aadhaar numbers abuses the privileges of the people to one side of poise of life as revered under Article 21 of the Constitution read with Article 19 of the Constitution.
