Senior Cong Ex-MLA Nawab Kazim Alleges Conspiracy Within Party in Up Against Veteran Leaders

As per the latest updates, ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections, Senior Congress leader Nawab Kazim Ali Khan has written to Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, charging that there is a conspiracy inside the party in Uttar Pradesh to show the way to every single veteran leader and their families.

He said that the specialists of BJP and Samajwadi Party were overwhelming the party and assuming that this proceeds, he would be denied a ticket in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Khan, who is the child of previous Congress MP Begum Noor Bano, has looked for an arrangement for a gathering with Priyanka so he and his family can choose whether to go on in governmental issues or not.

The veteran chief further composed that he needed to challenge the bypolls on Congress ticket from Rampur, yet some in the party ‘deceived’ the administration and persuaded it not to handle any up-and-comer.

The election will happen on June 23 and counting will be on June 26 in Rampur and Azamgarh where Lok Sabha by-decisions are being held.

Khan, a five-term MLA, said: “I’m at present connected with Congress and will stay with the party. In spite of a troublesome political environment against the party in UP, I challenged the 2022 Assembly polls as the party’s competitor.”

Curiously, the letter comes a day after the BJP possibility for the by-decisions, Ghanshyam Lodhi arrived at Khan’s Noor Mahal Palace and looked for the family’s help in the impending by-polls.

The previous state Cabinet serve (in Mayawati’s administration) and five-term MLA had fruitlessly challenged the 2022 gathering polls on the Congress ticket against the Samajwadi Party’s senior chief Azam Khan.
