Shuttle Bus Services from Hitec City to Microsoft Campus Flagged off

Hyderabad: HMRL MD NVS Reddy and Cyberabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar flagged off dedicated shuttle bus services of Microsoft from Hitec City Metro station to Microsoft campus today in the presence of Microsoft Vice President Rajiv Kumar and L&TMRHL MD KVB Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion Mr.NVS Reddy stated that already 20 IT/ITES companies have introduced shuttle services from Hitec City and Durgam Cheruvu stations to their respective campuses and they include Value Labs, Epam, Invesco, Verizon, Cambridge, ICICI Bank, Novartis, Hexagon, etc.  He mentioned  that L&TMRHL is also running “merry-go-round” services from Durgam Cheruvu and Hitec City Metro stations in Gachibowli and Financial District areas and that  these shuttle services have become extremely popular.  He has also indicated that with last mile connectivity slowly emerging, Metro ridership is steadily going up and that daily about 2.50 lakh passengers are using Metro Rail services.

Stating that Microsoft has an abiding commitment to environment sustainability, Vice President, Microsoft Rajiv Kumar indicated that introduction of shuttle services from campuses to Metro stations will benefit the employees and also reduce traffic congestion in this area.

Appreciating the initiative taken by L&TMRHL and the pro-active policies of HMRL, CP, Cyberabad V.C.Sajjanar made an appeal to other companies also to run similar shuttle services to reduce traffic congestion in Cyberabad area.  MD, L&TMRHL KVB Reddy informed the gathering that several IT/ITES campuses are now making bulk purchase of Metro Smart Cards and those interested may contact Mr.Rishi Verma of L&TMRHL on 994915833.

L&TMRHL Chief Operating Officer  AnilKumar Saini, HMRL CEE DVS Raju, SE .Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, GM B.N.Rajeswar, DCP A.Balakrishna, Cyberabad DCP Vijay Kumar and other senior officers of HMRL, L&TMRHL and Cyberabad Police participated in the launching programme. (NSS)
