Small Traders And Street Vendors May Turn Into “Super Spreader” of Covid 19

The order by the Patan Municipality was released on Wednesday. It stated that despite the long Covid 19 vaccination drive that is being carried through camps a lot of traders and street vendors aren’t getting vaccinated. While this may be because of rumors, beliefs, false fears and superstitions. However, such people (traders and vendors) can become a “medium of spreading the pandemic”. At the same time, this negligent behavior cannot be tolerated as it is a matter of public health and safety.

The order stated that the authorities had an urgent meeting to address the matter and in-depth discussions and deliberations were conducted. After which, the authorities have decided that all small traders and vendors will have to be compulsorily vaccinated by April 16.
