Smitha Sabharwal asks officials to complete Devadula by next November

Hyderabad: Smitha Sabharwal, CMO OSD today directed the officials concerned to complete by November 2020 the works of Devadula Irrigation project which aims to irrigate some 6.5 lakh acres in four districts. There was no dearth of funds for the works as Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was keen on completing it on a war-footing, she said.

Sabharwal today made a visit to the project site and inspected the works. She asked the officials to take the help of the District Collectors for land acquisition. She also said the works should be completed by next July and others in the next four months. She asked the officials to complete the construction of canals, surge pools, pump houses, and others.

She said the project on completion will irrigate 6.5 lakh acres in 37 mandals in Warangal,  Yadadri, Siddipet, and Suryapet Districts.
