Socialist Party’s Plea to ECI on Voters List

Hyderabad: Socialist Party (India)-Telangana unit urged the State CEO to place in public domain the deleted voters list, the revised list Year on Year basis so that voters can satisfy themselves regarding the authenticity of Telangana Election Commission work.

In a media note, the party said that complaints are pouring in from various parts from preliminary survey: Malkajgiri assembly constituency: 14 complaints received so far that voter names were deleted. Voters were shocked. No notices, their address is the same. 50 more likely to be with just initial complaints.

Gunrock area: around 10-15 people were shocked that their voter id is missing in spite of no change in address.

Jagityal: voters names deleted without notice, no change in address.

‘We urge the ECI, New delhi to conduct Regulatory Audit of the Electoral Rolls of Telangana, as per ECI guidelines, to weed out dubious voters and include genuine voters’, it said.(NSS) .
