State Cabinet Gives Green Signal for Sale of Lands in HMDA; to get Rs.10,000 Cr

Hyderabad: The State Cabinet has given clearance for the sale of lands within the HMDA area, with a view to mop up about Rs.10,000 crores revenue. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today chaired the cabinet meeting at Pragati Bhavan here.

The meeting, which commenced at 4 pm., was continuing till late in the evening.  The cabinet has decided to hold a  Revenue  Sammelan at Shamshabad near here on February 28, to explain to the people the salient features of the new Revenue Act proposed to be enacted, as part of the administrative reforms and better services to the people.   The Government is keen on bringing in the new Revenue Act during the Budget session likely to start in the first week of March.  The cabinet is expected to decide on the exact dates of the Budget session.

All the ministers and officials concerned were present in the cabinet meeting.  The chief minister is reported to have spoken his mind on the controversial CAA and to pass a resolution in the budget session of Legislature, opposing it.

Filling up Vacancies

The cabinet has reportedly decided on filling up  2000 vacant posts in different departments.

KCR is reported to have given green signal to decisions taken in collectors conference and to start  Pattana Pragati in districts,  besides discussing several other issues.  Pattana Pragati program was meant for the development of towns with infrastructure and basic facilities.

The cabinet reportedly discussed key issues including irrigation projects, modern farm practices and need-based allocations for the development programs.
