‘Symphony band performance’ organized by the IAF band at Golconda Fort

On Thursday, the Indian Air Force band performed a grand ‘Symphony Band Show’ at the historic Golconda Fort as part of Swarnim Vijay Varsh and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

The purpose of the event was to motivate the young generation to join the armed forces as their primary career option and instill patriotism in them. A large number of civilians and senior officers from the three services attended the concert.

A large crowd enjoyed the event, which was organized by Air Force Station Begumpet, Hyderabad, and performed by the No. 3 Air Force band based at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal.

There are 28 musicians in the IAF Band, specializing in brass, woodwinds, reed string, electronic, and percussion instruments. Different military music, patriotic songs, and popular Indian film tunes were included in the dazzling performance.

A number of events are being held across the country under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which commemorates 75 years of Indian independence.

ASI to hoist flags at monuments

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated by the city circle of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI).

The national flag will be hoisted at a high mast at three monuments in Telangana on August 13 – the Golconda fort in Hyderabad, Sangameswara temple in Alampur, and Warangal fort.

Flag hoisting ceremonies and other programs are expected to attract freedom fighters, Padma Awardees, and other eminent personalities.

Nava Brahma group of temples in Alampur, Charminar, Ramappa temple in Mulugu, Thousand Pillar temple in Hanamkonda, and Thousand Pillar temple in Mulugu have all been illuminated with tri-color lights.

According to a press release from the institution, a cleanliness campaign will also be launched in six monuments, two sites, and one museum across the state.

Throughout the country, all centrally protected monuments will be free to visit from August 5 to 15. Ticket charges have been waived for the Golconda fort, Charminar, Warangal fort, and Kondapur Archeological Museum in Telangana.
