Talented Manpower Is Playing a Key Role in Attracting Industry Investments in Telangana: KTR

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Government of Telangana organized the 17th edition of its flagship Conference on Manufacturing Excellence, Man’Exe–2021 with the theme “Re-imagining Manufacturing: Technology in driving Manufacturing Resilience and Excellence” here today.

The Man’Exe-2021’ conference’s inaugural session and technical sessions were addressed by few industry leaders from the manufacturing sector in Telangana such as  Sanjay Singh, Chief Executive, ITC –PSPD, Dr Daniela Ebner, Director – Manufacturing, Quality and Operational, ALPLA Werke Alwin Lehner GmbH & Co KG, Ms Shobha Dixit, Convenor, CII Telangana Manufacturing Competitiveness Panel & Director, ALPLA India Pvt Ltd. Prof. Chandan Chowdhury, Sr. Associate Dean, ISB, Mr. NLN Raju, COO & VP, Signode India,  VS Ram, Co-Convenor, CII Telangana Manufacturing Panel & Plant Head, Mahindra- Zaheerabad.

While addressing the conference, Chief Guest KT Rama Rao,  Minister for Industries, IT, MAUD, Govt. of Telangana said that the MSMEs are the growth engine of the economy and need support beyond Atma Nirbhar Bharat, and the Govt of Telangana is taking several interventions to support MSMEs. Even through T-Works MSME could develop proto types. He also appreciated the collaboration of CII Telangana with Govt of Telangana in the Cluster Management program with MSMEs, promoting Green & Sustainable Companies and Promoting Net Zero concept among the companies. He also said that Telangana is the 12th largest in population, 11th largest in the Area, and 4th largest contributor to the economy. He also mentioned that Telangana is registering fast growth due to the presence of the IT Sector where the talented manpower is playing a crucial role in attracting new invest On this platform, the Department of Industries, Govt of Telangana has presented Industry Awards to the select organizations based in Telangana.

Introduced in 2017, the esteemed ‘Industry Awards’ is a statewide competition that recognizes and rewards exceptional achievements made by Telangana-based businesses, covering both large & small organizations.

For the 4th time in a row, the award application was hosted by ‘Telangana State-GlobalLinker’, a networking platform with over 3,50,000+ SMEs across the world. ts-msme.globallinker.com

Applicants could participate in 6 categories – Best Export performance, Best Innovation, Best Sustainability practices, Best Startup, Best CSR Practices, Special Contribution (IT Services).

The awards were presented to the winners by the chief guest Shri KT Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister of Industry & Commerce, IT, E&C and Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Government of Telangana.

The awards were facilitated by the Department of Industries & Commerce under the guidance of  Jayesh Ranjan , Principal Secretary, Government of Telangana.
“It is heartening to see the industrial growth in Telangana through companies which are not only innovative but also have sustainability built into their fabric. The future belongs to such companies which not only create wealth for themselves but are also socially responsible.” – Jayesh Ranjan.

The prestigious 4th edition of the Telangana State Industry Awards 2021 session was hosted by Ms. Malavika Jaggi, Director, GlobalLinker.

The elite panel of judges included Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Government of Telangana,  Manicka Raj,  Commissioner of Industries, Government of Telangana,  E V Narasimha Reddy, VC & MD, TSIIC,  Yerram Raju, Former Advisor & Director, Telangana Industrial Health Clinic,  Ajit Rangnekar, Director General at Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad Partner, SVP India and Former Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB),  Vatsala Mishra, OSD, Industries and Commerce Dept., Govt. of Telangana and  Sameer Vakil, Co-founder and CEO at GlobalLinker.

Another important awards category given was to recognize the IP driven Enterprises from the State of Telangana, Govt. of Telangana in association with CII and Telangana State Global Linker announced winners of the Telangana State Intellectual Property Awards (TSIPA).

The award for Best IP Portfolio under PSU Category was given to MISHRA DHATU NIGAM LIMITED; MSN Laboratories Private Limited Received award for Best IP Portfolio under Large Entity Category;

The award for Best IP Portfolio under Medium Entity Category was given to Optimus Drugs Private Limited; The Best IP Portfolio under Small Entity Category was awarded to Zen Technologies Limited; The award for Best IP Portfolio under Startup Category given to WiSig Networks; The award for Best IP Portfolio under Educational Institute Category Given to Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.

Also  KT Rama Rao has released the report jointly prepared by CII and  Ernst & Young, focussing on “Future of manufacturing in a post-pandemic world”. This report presents the survey findings of manufacturing industry leaders, which highlights the challenges and learnings from the pandemic, and the perspective towards technology and digitization. It will help companies to model their future manufacturing strategy and implementation geared towards digital adoption.

KT Rama Rao also inaugurated the Made in Telangana mall – madeintelangana.linker.store,that has been initiated to support and encourage entrepreneurs in the state by providing commission-free services to the sellers allowing them to access more customers and grow their businesses through increased outreach.

The platform curates the finest products and crafts of the state, including pearls, apparel, home decor, appliances, consulting services, and more. The portal will provide buyers the convenience of finding Telangana-originated products and sellers in a single place.

The Mall, hosted by GlobalLinker, is currently inviting more sellers to list their products & services and by January 2022, the mall will be open to buyers to enjoy buying their favorite products and services. Telangana also got the feather in the cap by PLI sanctions to the first electronics company Resolute Group in Telangana.
