Tamil Nadu Govt To Release Rs 8 Crore To Implement Digital Agriculture

As per the latest reports, the Tamil Nadu government will execute advanced agriculture to support farmers at an expense of Rs 8 crore with focal and express government’s assets, said Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare M.R.K.Panneerselvam.

Introducing the Agriculture Budget for 2022-23 in the state Assembly on Saturday, Panneerselvam said his specialty has planned a plan on advanced agribusiness by which all innovations from seed to yield can be acquired electronically through Uzhaan (farmer) Mobile Application.

“Every one of the advancements will be imparted electronically to the farmers from planting to collect and advertising of the produce field-wise for getting higher pay,” Panneerselvam said.

As indicated by him, individual homestead-based crop plans, review numbers, and sub-divisions, all things considered, will be geo-labeled, which will be superimposed with subtleties of land proprietor’s essential data, soil wellbeing, and developed crops.

The seven Agro-climatic zones are isolated into 1,330 Micro Agro-climatic zones to figure out new beneficial yield plans to farmers in light of elements of creation.

As indicated by Panneerselvam, computerized reasoning will be applied to screen the bug and illness pervasion in crops and momentary administration estimates will be conveyed to farmers through SMS warnings collaborating with Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

In a joint effort with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Tamil Nadu Drone Corporation, farmers will be granted preparation and exhibit in seven Farmers Training Centers (FTC) for the use of robots in pesticide showers and the study of harvest development stages.

The new computerized Technology “Web of Things” (IoT) will be embraced in State Seed Farms and State Agricultural Farms for mechanized water systems and fertigation, for offering preparing to farmers on this new innovation.

Panneerselvam said a select entrance called “Tamil Mann Valam” will be sent off in co-appointment with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in which the farmers can get the dirt fruitfulness status of their properties – study number astute and they can print the dirt wellbeing cards without anyone else.
