TDP Lambada girijans want more seats in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Telangana unit of All India Banjara Seva Sangh today urged Telangana TDP party to allot more tickets to Lambada girijans in general category of Assembly seats where Lambada girijans are more population.

The total population of the Lambada girijans in the Telangana State was over 25,000 and are being used as a vote bank since country’s Independence. This community should be given importance in the elections in Telangana State, it said.

A delegation of Telangana unit of Lambada association met party’s election committee convenor Mandava Venkateshwar Rao and submitted a memorandum seeking more seats for the community. TDP senior leader E Peddireddy, vice-president Laxman Nayak Ramavat, Ajmir Raju Nayak, B Tarachand Nayak, All India Banjara Sevasangh State working president Islavat Ramchander Nayak, P Pirya Nayak and others were in the delegation.
