Telangana: 4 IT companies launched by KTR in Hanamkonda

Four IT companies—LTI Mindtree, Genpact, HRH Next, and Hexad Solutions Private Limited—were formally inaugurated in Hanamkonda on Friday by Telangana Industries and Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao.

Representatives of the businesses received letters of appreciation from the Minister for starting up shop in Hanamkonda.

About 18 months ago, the IT minister started talking to Genpact with its CEO Tiger Tyagarajan in 2021. The four companies have already hired students from nearby institutions, according to a press release.

400 colleagues from nearby colleges were hired by Genpact, 60 by LTI Mindtree, 120 by HRH Next, and 50 or more by Hexad Solutions Group. In the upcoming months, HRH Next Planning plans to increase its staff to about 500 people.

Hexad Solutions Group offers engineering and design services for wireline, wireless, and CATV communications at the Warangal Design Centre.

By attracting top international companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, Uber, Micron, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, and UBS, Hyderabad has made significant strides in information technology. In Telangana, new locations have also been established by Race Energy, MRF, Olectra, and several other companies. ZF, Frisker, Stellantis, Hyundai, and Biliti have campuses in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad has established a regulatory framework, infrastructure, and access to human resources, making it a desired location. In 2022–2023, Hyderabad’s exports are projected to exceed 2.2 lakh crore, an increase of nearly 20% from 1.83 lakh crore.

The IT sector added over 1.5 lakh jobs in 2021-22 alone, according to the press release. There are already IT centers in Warangal, Karimnagar, and Khammam, producing local jobs and multiplying their economic impact. Taking that concept further, the state government is building IT towers in Mahabubnagar, Siddipet, Nizamabad, and Nalgonda by July 2023, as part of a rural expansion of IT.
