Hyderabad: Slugfest is continuing among two Telugu states on the sharing of Krishna and Godavari waters.
With Jagan Reddy government complaining to Godavari water Board against KCR Government for constructing some projects on Godavari River by violating norms.
However, the Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao reacted that Godavari waters can be used by both states. We will protect our interests by moving court if necessary he said.
The AP officials have complained to KRMB (also GRMB) that Telangana violated as it increased the heights of projects like Kaleshwaram from 225 tmc to 450 TMC and Sitharama project from 70 tmc to 100 tmc and proposal of Palamur Ranga Reddy project.

They complained that present government in Telangana has taken up Palamur Ranga Reddy, works of Jurala and Nettempadu for more waters against norms. Out of 880 cusecs storage in Srisailam project, they can draw 440 cusecs of waters to irrigate crops in Prakasham and Nellore districts.
