Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao celebrated Independence Day on Tuesday by raising the national flag at Golconda Fort. This was his tenth occasion hoisting the flag at this historic spot. He addressed the people of Telangana after the flag-hoisting ceremony.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari had visited Golconda Fort the day before to monitor preparations for the Independence Day celebrations.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a warning about the event at the Rani Mahal Lawns in Golconda Fort. The advise specifies where traffic restrictions and detours will be applied to guarantee safe vehicular movement. These restrictions will be in force from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on August 15.
According to G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad, the road from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort would be closed to public vehicular traffic on August 15 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
