Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) stressed his government’s commitment to empowering women through various initiatives, comparing the government’s role to that of a “elder brother” who instills women with confidence and encouragement. He expressed these feelings in a statement released on the occasion of Rakhi Bandhan (Rakhi Pournami), a holiday that celebrates the strong link of love that exists between brothers and sisters.
KCR emphasized that Telangana women had excelled in a variety of sectors as a result of the government’s empowerment measures. He called them “role models for the entire country.” On this occasion, he sent heartfelt greetings to the people and emphasized the importance of the Rakhi celebration in strengthening family links, blood relations, and human connections.
Rakhi is an Indian cultural and philosophical event in which sisters tie a rakhi (holy thread) around their brothers’ wrists as a symbol of protection. According to KCR, this holiday signifies a unique culture of protective relationships, with sisters tying rakhi to their brothers in the hope of getting protection and care.
KCR went on to say that his government has been working hard to promote human interactions and family bonds. He emphasized the humanitarian implementation of many programmes, notably for the elderly and vulnerable people. The chief minister stressed that the people’s spirit of fraternity and camaraderie is growing as a result of the continual progress in creating and spreading prosperity.
KCR encouraged everyone to enjoy the Rakhi celebration with affection and excitement, reflecting the event’s theme of unity and protection.
