Telangana government raises police job age limit by two years

A decision was made on Friday by the Telangana government to raise the upper age limit for recruitment of officers in the state police department by two years.

P Rajeshwar Reddy, a member of the local assembly, asked KCR to extend the age limit by 2 years on the basis of an unprecedented 95% quota for locals and 2 years of uncertainty caused by the Covid 19 pandemic, the office of the chief minister said.

In a press release, the CM urged the chief secretary and the state director general of police to take necessary steps.

In Telangana State level police sections, the Telangana Police is conducting recruitment examinations for the posts of Constable, Sub Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector, Reserve Sub Inspector, Deputy Jailor, and Police Constable. Applications must be submitted by May 20.

There are 15644 constable posts and 554 sub-inspector posts. A preliminary exam, a physical measurement test, a physical efficiency test, and a final exam will be required to recruit members of the Telangana Police 2022. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will qualify to take the next level exam.

Final date today to apply for 17291 posts

TSLPRB, the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board, will close the application process for TS Police Recruitment 2022 on May 20, 2022. Candidates who have not yet applied for 17,291 posts in various departments of Telangana Police can do so through the TSLPRB website – tslprb.in.

Candidates under the local status and general category in the OC and BC categories must pay ₹800/- as application fees. In Telangana, SC and ST candidates should pay ₹400/-. To learn more, candidates can visit TS Police’s official website.

The candidate should hold a degree awarded by an Indian university established or incorporated by the Central Government or a Provisional Act of State, or by an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission, or possess an equivalent qualification at the time of application.
