Telangana: Govt has launched e-pass for scholarship registrations

The Telangana government has opened registration for students and colleges to apply for scholarships under the post-matric scholarships scheme on the e-pass website, http://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in, from May 11 to May 21.

Admissions to the MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and paramedical courses for the academic year 2021-22, are being processed on the e-pass website, whereas details of CETs for admissions to the B-Pharmacy, M-Pharmacy, MBA & BEd courses are being uploaded on the e-pass website.

Scheduled Caste Development Department officials reported on Wednesday that the counselling process was in progress for some professional courses, including BSc (N) and MSc (N), and GNM courses.

Scholarship registrations and renewals were previously open from September 24 to March 31.

The state offers these scholarships for the benefit of students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC) and physically challenged students in the state.

For the academic year 2021-22, college managements and regulatory agencies have to ensure that colleges and students who wish to register in e-pass upload their data by October 24 for sanction of renewals and new scholarships.

Unacademy Signs MoU with Govt

India’s largest learning platform, Unacademy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Backward Classes Welfare Department (BCWD), Govt. of Telangana to identify and assist meritorious students from the state to prepare for competitive exams with scholarships.

To address the state and central governments’ needs, Unacademy will conduct a series of aptitude tests for meritorious students of Telangana over a period of three years.

As part of the MoU, 4500 aspirants will receive the scholarship program, which includes a one-year Unacademy Plus subscription for a competitive exam.

As part of Unacademy’s mega-national program Shikshodaya, all-girl students from Telangana who qualify for the aptitude test will receive scholarships.
