Hyderabad: To encourage people to get covid tests, the state government today decreased the fees for the covid test. It is significant that the government has taken a key decision to collect fewer fees for covid-19 in Telangana state.
The new fees are to be followed by the hospitals and labs, according to a government order. The government has warned that any hospitals and labs failing to collect new reduced fees will be dealt with seriously.
Normal RTPCR fees was decreased to Rs 500 from the previous Rs 850 and the tests being conducted at patients’ residences was reduced to Rs 750 only against the previous Rs 1200. The health officials in all the districts are instructed to monitor the same for should follow new orders and collect revised fees through wide publicity.
