Telangana has declared a special holiday for all female employees

The Telangana government has declared a special holiday for all female employees on Tuesday on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

On Tuesday, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar issued a ‘Government Order’ (GO) granting all female employees special casual leave.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of Ladies’ Day, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has greeted women.

He claimed that by creating a unique holiday, the state government is showing its appreciation for its women.

In a statement, he stated that women are treated equally with males in all industries. He observed that the function of women in family formation as homemakers and as women is significant and self-sacrificing.

KCR, as the Chief Minister is generally known, remarked that the Telangana state government has imbibed the world view of a woman who, as a mother, would work for the well-being of everyone with humanity and a visionary attitude while bringing her family in order.

The state administration, according to the Chief Minister, is striving for the welfare and development of women. “The state government works tirelessly for the growth and well-being of the downtrodden classes, Dalits, and farmers.” The state government had initiated several schemes and programmes for the welfare and development of women.”

KCR claims that the state government is pro-Mahila Bandhu and that it brings him great joy.

He stated that since the formation of the Telangana administration, 10 lakh moms have benefited from KCR Kits with financial and other benefits, and that programmes such as Arogya Laxmi, Amma Vodi, Old Aged Mothers, Beedi women workers, and single women have received monthly pensions.

Protection is provided to every woman in the state through the She Teams. The administration also raised salaries for Anganwadi teachers, Asha workers, and state government employees, he added.

The Telangana state government has achieved good results in balancing the men-women ratio through a number of women-oriented projects and programmes, and it has provided 50% reservation for women in local bodies. It is the only state in the country that offers such a reservation.

According to the Chief Minister, the state government’s goal is to empower women both politically and financially.
