According to the latest reports, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has stated that in a short period of time Telangana has achieved development to emerge as a role model for the entire country.
In his message to the people on the occasion of Dussehra, he wished that the country would continue to progress in the Telangana spirit.
KCR, as Rao is popularly known, stated that the state government has placed Telangana at the forefront.
He stated that the Telangana governance model facilitated rapid development of the state on multiple fronts, setting a new standard for other states in the country. He wished for the entire country to follow in Telangana’s footsteps of progress.
He said that the Dussehra festival is observed throughout the country as a symbol of the establishment of Dharma and as Vijayadasami, which brings victory.
On Dussehra festival day, it is a great tradition for people to spot Palapitta (Indian Roller bird) and worship the sacred Jammi tree as an auspicious sign, he said.
KCR stated that the Dussehra festival is distinguished by the exchange of Jammi leaf-like gold, the seeking of elders’ blessings, and participation in Alai Balay to express love and affection.
He prayed that on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, all tasks completed would bear fruit. He stated that Vijaya Dashami’s spirit will live on. He wished everyone success, happiness, and peace.
On the joyous occasion of Vijaya Dasami, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan also extended greetings to the people.
The Navaratri festival rekindles our joy and jubilation. She said that the festival’s main message is the triumph of good over evil, and this message an everlasting relevance.
Truth alone triumphs is our national credo, she said, adding that while celebrating the festival, we must all work together to fight all evils, including environmental hazards, and to create greener and cleaner neighborhoods.
