‘Telangana is a role model for other States in implementation of farmers’ welfare schemes’

Telangana has become a role model for other States in the successful implementation of farmers’ welfare schemes, Telangana State BC Commission member Shubhaprada Patel. He stated that Telangana was leading the country in the implementation of various agricultural schemes.

On Monday, Patel and Vikarabad Zilla Parishad vice-chairman B Vijay Kumar represented the state at a farmers’ public meeting organized by Kisan Jagruthi Vikas Sangh in Mundargi, Gadag district, Karnataka. On the occasion, the mass wedding of 75 couples was performed.

Speaking on the occasion, Patel explained about various welfare and development schemes being implemented by the Telangana government for farmers including Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, free power supply and irrigation water supply among others.

He added that the State government was also providing Rs 1,00,116 to brides from weaker sections through the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes. He urged farmers to support BRS in order to bring a farmer-friendly government to the Centre.

Farmers who attended the public meeting responded by raising ‘Jai Kisan Sarkaar’ slogans. Farmers’ leaders Yugandhar Naidu and Govind Rao were also present.

‘Ab ki baar, Kisan Sarkar’

In national politics, the newly formed Bharat Rashtra Samithi (formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi) will have “Ab ki Baar, Kisan Sarkar” as its main agenda. The party will work to bring about a qualitative change in national politics and governance in order to ensure the country’s overall development.

During a general body meeting held at the party headquarters in Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao made these announcements to thunderous applause from party leaders.

Chandrashekhar Rao told party leaders at Telangana Bhavan that India would soon have a farmer-friendly government at the Centre. He stated that the party would raise the pink flag in Delhi and play an important role in national politics.

The BRS chief emphasized the importance of preserving the nation’s federal spirit and providing basic services to all in accordance with the Indian Constitution. He stated that the party was developing new policies in agriculture, the economy, the environment, irrigation and drinking water, power and women empowerment, among others.
