Telangana: Junior Colleges Warned Not to Withhold Certificates from Students

It has been warned by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) that junior colleges should never withhold certificates from students who graduate from junior colleges in any circumstance.

It is the responsibility of the principal to issue all certificates related to students leaving the junior college, according to the board’s statement.

The news comes after an attempted suicide that took place at Narayana Junior College in Amberpet.

As a result of the threat of setting himself on fire by a student youth wing leader, an accidental fire broke out.

As a result of dousing himself in flammable liquid, the student, the principal, and another college official were injured in an accidental fire.

The Board of Intermediate Education has asked for an explanation from Narayana Junior College in Bagh Amberpet, where two students and a college staffer were injured in a serious fire accident.

It warned all junior college administrations that it would take serious action if students’ certificates were withheld.

It was stated that no matter who ran a junior college, whether private or public, students’ certificates should not be withheld.

Many reports have surfaced of colleges withholding certificates of students with long unpaid dues and of those who may have discontinued the course at graduation.

Additionally, District Officers were instructed to inspect all private junior colleges to ensure that no certificates are withheld for any reason whatsoever by the management.

If anyone wishes to file a complaint in this regard, they can contact the concerned DIEO or the TSBIE.

The board also wants stringent action against the management of colleges that are found in violation of prescribed rules, regulations, and guidelines of TSBIE.
