Telangana Opposition Leader Raises Concerns Over ‘Minority Bandhu’ Scheme for Muslims

Former Minister and Telangana opposition leader Mohammad Ali Shabbir has accused the BRS government of deceiving Muslims with their ‘Minority Bandhu’ plan. According to Shabbir, the proposed scheme is nothing more than a ruse designed to mislead disadvantaged and unemployed adolescents from minority communities.

During its nine-year tenure, the KCR government has failed to address the needs of unemployed young, according to Shabbir. He emphasized that the Minority Finance Corporation has already denied countless loan applications, and that current applications from unemployed youth are still pending. According to Shabbir, Chief Minister KCR is deceiving Muslims by using delaying tactics, and the budget allotted for the scheme is insufficient to accommodate all applications.

Shabbir underlined that the minority budget expanded greatly during the Congress regime’s performance from 2004 to 2014. In contrast, the current BRS government has increased the minority budget at a reduced rate.

Shabbir chastised the administration for stalling various minority assistance programmes and urged the public, particularly minorities, not to be misled by KCR’s false pledges and guarantees. He believes the Chief Minister makes such promises for political advantage, particularly during election season. Instead of deceitful techniques, the opposition leader asks the administration to take serious efforts to solve the welfare and unemployment concerns confronting minority populations.
