Telangana police have become role models for the country: Home Minister

Telangana police, as said by Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, have emerged as a role model for the country by employing innovative methods to maintain law and order.

On Tuesday, Mahmood Ali along with Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar, and DGP M Mahendar Reddy inaugurated the Godavarikhani Town-I and Anthergaon police stations, as well as the Police Welfare Centre and Community Hall in Godavarikhani.

The Home Minister stated that after taking power in the state, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao established Telangana as a role model for maintaining law and order by giving top priority to the police department. Telangana was a classic example of a state where law and order were in control and progress was being made on all fronts.

Aside from providing police with modern vehicles, better facilities were provided to the public through friendly policing.

Under citizen-friendly policing, new police station buildings with modern facilities were being built across the state to provide corporate-level services to the public. SHE teams and Barosa Centers were established to protect women.

The public’s trust in police officers had grown as officers arrived on the scene within ten minutes of receiving calls via dial 100 and resolving problems.

Telangana police, under the supervision of DGP Mahender Reddy, were providing better services to the public by utilizing modern technology, he said, and had also received a number of state and national rewards and awards.

With the opening of the new police station, Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar hoped that people would receive better services. He said that the Chief Minister was giving top priority to law and order issues, and that he was providing all basic facilities to the police department, and that a friendly policing policy was yielding good results. According to national reports, the crime rate in the state has drastically decreased, he stated.

DGP Mahendar Reddy described the construction of a new police station for Godavarikhani as a historic event. The area has played an important role in the development of the state since the establishment of the old Karimnagar district.

Peddapalli MP Borlakunta Venkatesh Nethakani, Ramagundam MLA Korukanti Chander, Police Housing Board Chairman Koleti Damodar, Commissioner of Police S Chandrashekhar Reddy, Karimnagar CP V Satyanarayana along with others were present.
