Telangana: Registration for police jobs set to begin on May 2

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board will begin accepting registrations for its recruitment notifications. Registration will close on May 20. Interested candidates can apply online for the police jobs on the Board’s website, https://www.tslprb.in/

There had been six recruitment announcements issued by the Board for a staggering 17,291 vacancies in the departments of Police, Special Protection Force, Disaster Response & Fire Services, Prisons & Correctional Services, Transport, and Prohibition & Excise. Among the total number of vacancies, 14,881 are Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Police Constable (Civil)/equivalent posts and 541 are SCT SI (Civil)/ equivalent posts.

There is a registration fee of Rs.1,000 (Rs.500 for SC and ST candidates) for candidates belonging to the OC and BC categories for the post of SCT SI (Civil/AR/SAR CPL/TSSP), SI in the Special Protection Force Department, Deputy Jailor in Prisons & Correctional Services department and SFO in TS Disaster Response & Fire Services Department.

For Constable, Firemen, and Warder jobs, OCs and BCs are required to pay Rs.800 (Rs.400 for SCs and STs) as registration fees.

SI (Civil) posts require applicants to possess a degree or an equivalent qualification from a university established or incorporated under a Central Act, Provisional Act of the State, or another institution recognized by the University Grants Commission by July 1, 2022.

Candidates for the Police Constable and other comparable positions must hold intermediate or equivalent qualifications recognized by the State government as of July 1, 2022.

Additionally, candidates who possess higher qualifications than the prescribed ones will be considered equally with those who possess the prescribed qualifications.

The recruitment process for SI jobs will involve three stages: a preliminary written test, a physical efficiency test, and a final written examination.

Arithmetic, Test of Reasoning and Mental Ability (100 questions) and General Studies (100 questions) subjects will be covered in the preliminary written test. Candidates must secure a minimum of 30% of marks in the preliminary written paper in order to qualify.

After passing the preliminary test, candidates will be invited to take a physical efficiency test and physical measurements. For those who qualify, the final written examination consists of paper-I (English), paper II (Telugu/Urdu), paper III (Arithmetic and Mental Ability Test) and paper IV (General Studies).
