The emergency meeting of the Telangana Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was held at the residence of the party’s National president Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
The meeting was held in the wake of the resignation of the state president of the party L. Ramana recently. Several leaders of the party attended the meeting. Naidu took the opinion of the party leaders over the appointment of the next president of the party. They told Naidu that they would abide by his decision on the issue.

They also told the president that they would work as a team and strengthen it in the state. They suggested to Naidu that he should also appoint working presidents of the party along with the state president.
The leaders of the party from Khammam district suggested the name of the state Vice President and former MLA Katragadda Prasuna for the post of state president. They told him that Prasuna had been famous as the Andhra Sushma Swaraj.
They also told Naidu that Prasuna had worked in different capacities in her political career and public life.
