The Hunar Haat expo is to be held in Hyderabad for ten days

From February 25 to March 6, the 37th edition of Hunar Haat, a 10-day exposition of traditional crafts and culinary skills, will be held at NTR grounds in Hyderabad. The Ministry of Minority Affairs is hosting the event.

Hunar Haat is a traditional product and handicrafts show created by artisans from the minority population. The show features artisans and craftsmen from more than 30 Indian states and union territories, giving visitors a pan-India experience. Its goal is to expose and employ numerous artisans, craftsmen, and traditional cuisine experts by allowing them to display their handmade and indigenous products.

To ensure health, hygiene, and safety, adequate and required precautions have been made.

Entry requires the use of a mask. The hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Every day, in addition to the convergence of cultural events, music, dance, circus, and magic acts will be performed. To participate, craftsmen and artisans must register on the Ministry of Minority Affairs’ official website.

Hyderabad’s Numaish will also resume from Feb 25

The popular annual trade fair ‘Numaish’ in Hyderabad, which was shut down a day after it started on January 6 due to an increase of Covid-19 cases, will also resume on February 25.

The All India Industrial Exhibition Society (AIIES), which organises the yearly event, has received clearance from Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand to resume the 81st All India Industrial Exhibition.

According to AIIES Honorary Secretary Aditya Margam, the exhibition will be open from 4 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. on weekdays and from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends.

The decision to reopen the exhibition was taken due to a remarkable decrease in Covid-19 cases and the subsequent resumption of full routine operations. Authorities ordered the closure of Numaish on the night of January 2, a day after it was inaugurated by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and state home minister Mahmood Ali.

Authorities ordered AIIES to close the show after about 10,000 people had attended it.

Traders and various business organisations from all across the country were given 1,600 stalls to sell their wares at the fair, which was organised by the organisers.

Traders who had set up their stalls suffered significant losses as a result of the abrupt closure.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the show could not be held last year. It was only the third time it had been cancelled in its history.

Numaish-e-Masnuaat-e-Mulki, or simply Numaish, began in 1938 as a promotional event for locally produced goods.
