The National Women’s Hall of Fame To Honor Former First Lady Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama, the former first lady of the United States of America will be awarded in the list of National Women’s Hall of Fame. She will be inducted on October 2 this year.

Michelle Obama Becomes The Iconic Women Of The 21st Century

As per the reports, The National Women’s Hall of Fame named the members who will be inducted on October 2. The name included Michelle Obama along with author Octavia Butler (died in 2006), poet Joy Harjo, activist Emily Howland (died in 1929), Rebecca Halstead with a three decades long career in the military and artist Judy Chicago.

Emily Howland worked during the American Civil War. She used to teach the formerly enslaved people on how to read and write in refugee camps.

Michelle Obama’s name comes in with eight other women including Indra Nooyi Ex-CEO of PepsiCo, Mia Hamm and Katherine Johnson, NASA Mathematician.

As per the website of the National Women’s Hall of Fame, Michelle Obama has risen to become the “most influential and iconic woman of the 21st century”. Following this, the celebration of the extraordinary women will take place at the Hall.

The National Women’s Hall Of Fame Assures COVID-19 Guidelines During The Ceremony

Talking about the ceremony, the organization wrote on the website that they will ensure that the COVID-19 guidelines are being followed and the Induction Weekend is safe for everyone who attends the event. The tickets to the event will not be released until April or May. But they will host a live virtual streaming session and it will be made available to the public for free.
