According to the latest reports, Hyderabad Traffic Police has set up free parking in a few areas of the Old City due to heavy traffic during Ramadan.
The holy month of Ramadan is nearing its end and Eid is just a few days away. It is not uncommon for most people to take a stroll around Charminar and shop at the night bazaar in Old City during the month of Ramzan. You will see a lot of activity in the markets during this holy month.
At these locations, people can park their vehicles for free – on the premises of the Unani Hospital, at Khuda Stadium, at the Mothigally Pension Office, at Mufeed-ul-Anam, at the Panch Mohalla Bus Stand. If anyone collects the parking fee, they should bring it to the attention of the police.
During the last few days, the markets surrounding Charminar have witnessed huge crowds until late into the night. To facilitate visitors, free parking has been arranged nearby, an official said.
The official added that In the last week of Ramadan month, vehicular traffic increases dramatically, so traffic policemen are on duty until late at night.
