Three youths held for chain snatching

Hyderabad: Within 24 hours of commission of crime, three youngsters of Kachiguda area were arrested for snatching a gold chain (pusthelathadu) from a house maker near Sai Baba mandir on Saturday morning.

On receiving complaint from the victim at 11 am, the police plunged into action and arrested the accused identified as Harsha Joshi, 19, staying at Punamchand Gandhi Jain Sthana, opposite Kachiguda Railway Station, Potlakari Manoj Kumar, 18, Swiggy delivery boy, residing at Shamsheer Bagh, opposite Tarakarama Theatre, Thakur Ashwin Singh, 22, residing at Mothisingh lane, Sultan bazaar, at Jain Mandir at Kachiguda Railway Station at 5 am. The police recovered four-tolas pusthelathadu, one Pulsar and one Activa bikes.

Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar said complainant B. Anasuya, 55, of Threemurthy Colony, Amberpet said she along with her sister-in-law went to Vijaya Ganapathi temple at TRT Colony for a darshan and were returning home by walking. Wen they reached Sai Baba Temple at 09:40 am two accused came on a Bajaj Pulsar-220 CC without number plate snatched her gold chain from her neck and sped away.

Anjani Kumar said the accused persons, who were working as online food delivery boys, habituated to move colonies and selected lonely areas where women going by walk as they are need of money. They hatched a plan to snatch the gold from women who are going by walk.(NSS)
