To woo Muslims, BJP in UP to hold massive meeting at Rampur today

The Uttar Pradesh government – that leaves no stone unturned to persecute Muslims in the state, is now talking about taking the government welfare schemes to backward class Muslims coincidently at a time when the state is preparing itself for by-elections soon in three segments.

It is learnt that the Yogi Adityanath led BJP government has planned a mammooth meeting of Minorities on November 12 under the ages of Minority Morch at Muslim majority area of Rampur with an aim to bring awareness about the welfare scheme launched by the state and the centre  purportedly for Minority communities.

It is learnt that the BJP’s massive meeting of four crore minorities is aimed at breaking the oppositions’ strongest vote bank in Rampur area. However, what is obvious is the hidden intent of the BJP which is trying hard to make a hatrick in retaining power by mustering the support of Muslims in the state.

The proposed civic body elections are being perceived as quarterfinals of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to be held in the year 2024. However, by-election on Rampur Assembly seat are also approaching fast which was left vacant after 10 times MLA from Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was declared ineligible as the court has found him guilty and sentenced him three year jail in the case.

It is against this background, the BJP wants to rist the seat from Samajwadi Party by wooing the Muslim voters of the constituency.  As per reports, the saffron party has planned to hold a massive meeting at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium to send a message to the area with over 50 percent population of Muslims.

Apart from Rampur, a big number if Muslims from neighbouring areas like Moradabad, Bareli, Sambal and Badayoon will also be brought to the meeting. This shows how desperate the Saffron party is to capture the seat from Samajwadi Party.

Several Ministers, MPs and MLAs will address the gathering on Saturday at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium and beat the drums of BJP led state and central government schemes launched for the welfare of minorities.
