Hyderabad: Slamming the TRS government over suicides of farmers in the State, TPCC spokesperson Dasoju Sravan today alleged that in four years of TRS governance some 4,500 farmers committed suicides due to the criminal negligence of the State government.
In a statement here on Tuesday, Dasoju said the TRS government launched Rythu Bhema Scheme to fool the farmers. He said only 11 lakh farmers were eligible under the scheme due to age limit. He also slammed the State government for not providing crop insurance to the farmers whose crops were destroyed due to hailstorms. He charged the State government with resorting to false publicity rather than doing justice to the farmers. (NSS)
