Hyderabad: Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s heirs, MPs and MLAs were harassing the people, TPCC has said the TRS government remained silent though policemen and MPs were indulging in sexual assaults against women. TPCC official spokespersons Gajjela Kantham and Indira Shoban have demanded that KCR expel Peddapalli MP Balka Suman from his party immediately for allegedly indulging in sexual assault.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Gajjela Kantham alleged that Suman exploited one Sandhya and Vijetha sexually. It was clearly known through voice record that Suman lured the two women telling cock and bull stories, the women lodged a complaint with the police, he said.
Kantham also alleged that Mancherial CI Mahesh tried to rape a Dalit woman by framed an illegal case against her husband when she pulled up the CI’s excesses. Then the MP Suman protected CI Mahesh. In reciprocal gesture, Mahesh filed cases against those women to protect Suman. The Telangana State has transformed into a Police State, Kantham said and reminded KCR’s call to beat if anybody commits a mistake. On the other hand, Bellampelli MLA threatened a Councilor’s daughter for political support, he said and demanded that KCR suspend both Bellampalli MLA and Peddapalli MP from the TRS party.
Indira Shoban alleged that sexual assaults were taking place indiscriminately in the State. While the people made Suman as an MP, he was harassing women, she claimed. She said the Congress would agitate till the women get justice. She called upon the womenfolk to carry broom and chilly powder to chase away such sexual maniacs. (NSS)
