TPCC leader writes to HMR MD to withdraw decision to allow drunkards in trains on Dec. 31 night

Hyderabad: TPCC official spokespersons G Niranjan Reddy today wrote a letter to NVS Reddy, Managing Director, Hyderabad Metro Rail against his decision to allow drunkards to board Metro Rail on December  31 midnight.

In a statement here today, Niranjan said it was surprising to note that the HMR authorities’ decision to allow drunkards into the Metro trains on December 31 is totally condemnable. “This affects the safe journey of commuters, especially women passengers.  We are well aware of the Disha incident, which attracted the entire Nation and we should take steps to avoid such kind of incidents in Metro Rails for which Alcohol consumed persons should be restricted to enter into the Metro Rail.

The Congress leader requested NVS Reddy to immediately withdraw his decision to allow the drunkards into the Metro trains in order to ensure safe journey of the passengers, particularly women.
