Traffic cops have issued a traffic advisory in view of the June 22 inauguration of the Telangana Martyrs Memorial near Tank Bund.
To avoid inconvenience to commuters, certain traffic restrictions would be implemented on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
According to a press release from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), NTR Gardens, Lumbini Park, and NTR Ghat will also be closed on Thursday.
Restrictions in place
Traffic will be prohibited between the VV Statue – Necklace Rotary – NTR Marg and the Telugu Thalli Junction, as well as vice versa.
Traffic heading towards Necklace Rotary from Khairatabad/Panjagutta/Somajiguda will be diverted at V V Statue towards Shadan-Nirankari.
Similarly, traffic intending to travel from Nirankari/Chintalbasthi to Necklace Rotary will be denied access to the Khairatabad flyover.
Those traveling from Iqbal Minar Junction to NTR Marg/Tank Bund will be detoured at Telugu Thalli starting to fly over.
Traffic heading from Budha Bhavan to Necklace Road and NTR Marg will not be detoured at Nallagutta X Road.
Traffic coming from Liberty, Ambedkar Statue, and intending to travel to NTR Marg will be diverted to Iqbal Minar Junction.
Traffic from Ranigunj/Karbala/Kavadiguda will be diverted at Children’s Park to the lower Tank Bund (in the event that the Tank Bund is closed on an emergency basis). Traffic coming from BRKR Bhavan and intending to travel to NTR Marg will be diverted to Iqbal Minar Junction.
Traffic from Bada Ganesh lane to Imax/Necklace Rotary and Mint lane will be diverted to Rajdoot lane at Bada Ganesh.
Traffic from Secunderabad to the upper Tank Bund will be restricted and diverted to the lower Tank Bund at the sailing club on an as-needed basis.
