Train Robbery Spree in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam Region

According to local authorities, a group of criminals committed thefts aboard two trains in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam region, culminating in the robbery of multiple passengers.

On Sunday night, an incident occurred on a Chennai-bound Hyderabad Express train between the stations of Singarayakonda and Kavali. The team of six criminals allegedly tampered with the train’s signal, causing it to stop. They then targeted buses S2, S4, S5, S6, S7, and S8, robbing passengers of costly items such as gold jewelry.

The same group then attacked passengers on the Hyderabad-Chennai Charminar Express. They concentrated on coaches S1 and S2 this time. When approached by railway police, the bandits retaliated by throwing stones and fleeing the area.

The robberies took place between 1:20 and 1:50 a.m. Passengers made complaints with authorities following the incidents. The railway police stationed at Kavali have launched an inquiry in order to apprehend the perpetrators of the robbery.
