Tribal Welfare Hostel for Working Women to dot Rajendranagar soon

In order ensure suitable accommodation for tribal women working in different sectors, the tribal welfare department Rangareddy has proposed to construct a ‘Tribal Welfare Working Women’s Hostel’ for which a piece of land has been identified at Mailardevpally in Rajendranagar area.

It is said that to ensure safety of the tribal women toiling hard to travel long distance between their home to office while working in different sectors, the tribal welfare department has mooted an idea to facilitate them with safe and secure accommodation to allow them stay safe while performing duties.

It is against this background a request was made to the government to provide suitable place for setting up of a Tribal Welfare Working Women’s Hostel that led to finding of a land parcel at Mailardevpally in Rajendranagar.

According to official sources, the revenue officials have identified 22 guntas of land equivalent to 2420 Sq.Yards in Survey No.156/1, near TNGO’s Park area at Mailardevpally mandal under Rajendranagar purportedly for setting up of a Tribal Welfare Hostel. “We were instructed to find and alienate government land for the construction of a tribal welfare hostel. Accordingly we have identified the land and even made a joint inspection along with the official of the tribal welfare department. We are in the process of communicating the same to Revenue Divisional Officer Rangareddy District for further consideration,” informed a revenue official.

When contacted, the Hostel Welfare Officer Rajendranagar Murali Mohan, “A request has been made to the government for provision of suitable land for setting up of a Tribal Welfare Working Women’s Hostel in order to provide suitable accommodation for tribal women working in different areas in the district. Following the request, the revenue officials of Rajendranagar rinse out a piece of land at Mailardevpally area. We also took a firsthand appraisal of the area where the land has been identified. The file has to move on further from RDO to Collector Rangareddy before getting the nod from the government.

“Approval of land is still to pass several phases before getting a nod from the government. As far as the proposed project is concerned, it is mainly to help the tribal working women get the suitable accommodation after work,” he explained.
