TRS Govt. fails to fulfil promises on all fronts: Sudarshan Reddy

Accusing the TRS Government for hoodwinking the people with promises, the former minister Sudarshan Reddy while addressing a press conference at Congress Bhavan here today, said, “The Telangana Government led by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has failed to fulfil people’s aspiration on all fronts while the promises it made was just to grab the power.

“Soon after coming to power, the Telangana Government announced a welfare fund of Rs.500 crores to support those native people who are searching livelihood or working abroad especially in Gulf countries. But it all proved to be gimmicks. Government has just played with the sentiments of the distressed people who have languished in trouble while working overseas,” he charged.

“TRS Party languished itself into trouble by claiming that it is the up-and-comer party that walks the talk and will benefit people with the welfare fund,” he said adding that “The chief minister promised to build big factories for the farmers, projects and even sugar factories. However, the ground reality is that the farmers are not having sufficient space to store the paddy and cases are being filed against the farmers who sold rice seeds. Congress Party would condemn the act.”

Firing a pot-shot at the TRS government, Sudarshan Reddy said “Neither the Arogyasree is being implemented properly, nor the fee reimbursement and jobs are being given to the students and applicants.”

“Many schools and universities were built during the Congress rule to provide better educational opportunities to the people however, not a single school has been built during the last seven years of the TRS government. The TRS government had also thrown the sugar factory issue into cold storage,” he claimed.

Urging the Chief Minister to provide minimum support price to the rice crop and provide seeds to the farmers as promised by him, Sudarshan Reddy warned the government that the purchasing centers should be opened immediately or else the Congress party would hold dharnas to pressurise the government.

President District Congress Party Manala Mohan Reddy, PCC General Secretary Gadgu Gangadhar, Rural In-charge Bhupathi Reddy, PCC Secretary Nagesh Reddy, Youth Congress State general Secretary Ramarthi Gopi, NSUI State General Secretary Vipul Goud and NSUI District President Venu Raju besides Former Presidents of Youth Congress Bobbili Ramakrishna, OBC State Co-Convener Raja Narender Goud, Pramod and others were present on the occasion.
