TRS will lead in Panchayat elections: KTR

Hyderabad : Wooing the TRS second rung leaders and activists to be the probable candidates in the upcoming elections to local bodies, caretaker Minister KT Rama Rao today appealed to the people to vote for T Rajaiah and support TRS leaders’ win in the forthcoming polls.  Speaking at an election campaign meeting at Station Ghanpur in Warangal district, KT Rama Rao tried to attract the rank and file of the ruling party to be the future leaders as the TRS is all set to win at the hustings. The Supreme Court has directed the State to hold gram panchayat elections in three months and the next TRS Government will hold the polls and give a chance to the leaders in waiting, he announced amid applause. The TRS leaders in the villages, towns and districts will be the candidates for the local bodies’ elections and contest as MPTCs, ZPTCs and others, he said.

Turning tables on the Opposition, KTR slammed the Congress for coming up with a sole agenda of dethroning the TRS regime. With no other go, the demoralized Congress forged a grand alliance but its allies are not happy on seat sharing and yet to decide to go along or not. “Defeat the Congress nominees so that they lose deposits and its allies by chasing the alliance partners away, he said. Though the combined Opposition was not able to finalize seat sharing, it was day-dreaming to form government, he ridiculed.

KTR also said the people believe in welfare and progress and welfare should vote for the TRS and bless KCR leadership. If they vote for the grand alliance, they will face the same old problems like power cuts, non- completion of projects, corruption, poor pensions and others, he added. (NSS)
