Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has expanded its bus tracking system to cover nearly 4,200 buses, allowing its mobile app TSRTC Bus Tracking to provide commuters with accurate real-time information about the exact movements of the buses.
The tracking system has been implemented in the city’s Express, Deluxe, Super Luxury, AC buses, and Metro Express services. TSRTC will instal the system in all buses across Telangana in the coming months, enhancing the mobile app’s ability to provide accurate information on bus stops, arrival times, and exact bus locations.
The TSRTC bus tracking application, which is a pilot project, was initially available for approximately 1,800 buses before being expanded to over 4,000 buses. “Passengers can use this application to avoid waiting and board their buses comfortably on time. To further enhance passenger convenience, the Corporation would SMS the bus tracking link to all passengers who make reservations,” says TSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director V C Sajjanar.

Using the link, passengers can find the exact location of the bus as well as the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) at their pick-up location, Sajjanar said.
“They can also report any emergencies such as women’s safety issues, breakdowns of buses, medical emergencies, and road accidents on the app which will trigger an immediate response and action by the officials,” he said.
The TSRTC Bus Tracking app puts real-time information about bus stops, arrival times, and exact bus locations at your fingertips.
How to install and use the app:
- TSRTC Bus Tracking app available on Google Play Store and TSRTC’s official website www.tsrtc.telangana.gov.in.
- Passengers need not share any personal details in this app.
- The app shows information about Hyderabad City and District services.
- Buses can be live tracked using service and bus number
- Passengers can check nearest bus stop
