TTDP asks CM to concede demands of contract labour in Power sector

Hyderabad: Telangana TDP politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy to demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao concede demands of contract employees of the Electricity department.
In a statement here today, Ravula said though KCR was harping on providing 24-hour power supply to the people, the future of 23,000 contract labours in the Electricity department waws pathetic as the Chief Minister filed to keep his word. Though the Chief Minister last year had promised to regularize the services of contract labour, but no action has been taken in this regard, the TDP leader alleged and said even the state government has issued a GO on July 29 last year merging contract employees into establishment of the power sector. But even after one year, their jobs are yet to be regularized.

Ravula has demanded that the State government immediately concede 16 demands of the electrical contract laborers. (NSS)
