Hyderabad: The Congress and TDP parties received a jolt in the State on Wednesday with senior Congress leader Ravindra Naik and senior TDP leader R. Prakash Reddy joined the BJP in the presence of BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao, Union minister of State for home affairs G. Kishan Reddy and State BJP president K. Laxman.
Speaking on the occasion, Laxman alleged that ruling TRS leaders were carrying out attacks on BJP workers. He said they were ready to join hands with any democratic organization to fight against the family rule of the TRS party. He reiterated the BJP was the only alternative to the TRS in the State as the saffron party was being strengthened in the State. He exuded confidence that his party would wrest power in the State in 2023 Assembly elections. (NSS)
